About Phoenix roebelenii is a small to medium-sized, slow-growing slender tree growing to 2–3 metres height. The leaves are 60–120 cm long, pinnate, with around 100 leaflets arranged in a single plane.

This plant has gained the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit.

The NASA Clean Air Study concluded that this was a plant that was effective at removing common household air toxins formaldehyde and benzene.

Light Phoenix palm prefers bright indirect light. Place the pot near a south or west facing window.
Irrigation As the Phoenix palm belongs to arid region, so, be cautious when it comes to irrigation. Grows well in moderately moisten medium, do not drown or submerge. Let the potting mix become dry a little before applying further irrigation. During winter, slightly reduce the irrigation frequency if required.

For tap water, preserve the water 24 hrs to minimise the of salts, chlorine, fluoride etc.
