About | The name Garlic vine depict the unique property of the plant – when the leaves smashed, it produces smell like garlic, but the plant or leaf doesn’t smell like garlic unless smashed. It is beautiful ornamental flowering vine with opposite leaves divided into two ovate leaflets. It produces numerous woody vines from the root that grow only 2-3 m tall and form a shrub-like appearance with bright green leaves up to 15 cm long.
The flowers are another amazing fact. A bi-colour flower with purple body and a white throat at the initiation, changes to lavender and ends up with white. So in this way one can see the plant contains three different colour of bloom at a time. Flowering occurs twice a year. |
