Description

Botanical name Adenium obesum / Adenium arabicum

About It is an evergreen or drought-deciduous succulent shrub with pachycaul (plants with a disproportionately thick trunk for their height, and few branches) stems and a stout, swollen basal caudex. Leaves spirally arranged at the tip of the branches. The plant is deciduous in cooler winters, but it can be kept in leaf provided there is sufficient warmth and light water.

Potting medium Use potting medium for succulent GrowpoT–S enrich in organic matter & mineral. Select a pot of optimum size minimise rot & other fungal disease. Too small pot will restrict the growth & a big pot will induce rot & other fungal disease.
Light Perform best in a well-lit location such as a window with eastern light exposure.
Irrigation Regular watering during summer. Don’t saturate the medium with water. Watch the dryness of the medium before irrigating. In winter reduce the irrigation but plant must be kept hydrated.

For tap water, preserve the water 24 hrs to minimise the presence of salts, chlorine, fluoride etc.
